Formats In Session ttaad1508m000

The session format (ttaad1508m000) displays the fields of the existing formats in the table ttadv485, there is no session that allows you to directly configure the existing formats in this table, however, in the session "General Table Maintenance" (ttaad4100) you can modify the parameters for each desired format, my question is:

1. Could this modification affect the standard system?
2. If the formats can be modified, how can it be done? Is there a specific setting?

Hi Antonio,

The Format Codes are linked to Domains, which are used on Table and Form Fields. Changes to them will have an impact on the standard system.

I believe that the Default Formats by Format Code settings (Max. Pos., No. of Signific. Digits, Minus Sign, Symbol, and Thousand Sign) are used to verify the Default Display Format and also the Format for the Formats by Generic Unit.

You can change the Default Display Format/Format, but I strongly advise against changing the other settings (especially) via GTM.

For more useful advice, it would be helpful to understand the business requirement that you are trying to address.
