Linked the IDM with ION

Hi everyone,

could someone help me on how to trigger the customer WF on ION however this custom WF I did t under IDM/ION.

I know some of you can say check "ContentDocument" BOD, but my question is how to see the custom WF of IDM under ION?!

since I'm looking to use API call to send an email, with Template, and I want to fill that template with details as well?!

I am not quite clear, what exactly the question is but some suggestions:

To trigger an ION Wlorkflow for an IDM Document, there are two options:

1. For a user to manually trigger a workflow on a Document from the IDM UI, create the Workflow in ION first, then under Configuration→ION Configuration, add a Workflow Configuration for the Document Type, passing any parameters to the workflow and retrieving results from output parameters.
2. To trigger the workflow automatically on new and/or updated documents, enable "Publish to ION" for the document type under ION Configuration. IDM will then publish Sync.ContentDocument BODs to ION.
   You can then create an Activation Policy or add a Workflow step to a Document Flow to start the ION Workflow. If you need multiple document types enabled, the Workflow step is preferred because there will be errors if the Activation Policy doesn't find attributes in the Sync.ContentDocument BOD.

To monitor the workflows or check if they were triggered, you can check OneView or the Active Workflows page in ION Desk.

Calling the Output Management API to send emails from a Workflow should be possible, however you may run into limitations depending on the API payload size. There may be better ways to do this.
