How do I get the Process.DefectiveMaterialNotice to write back to LN?

I'm trying to use the Process.DefectiveMaterialNotice to write some CDF data back to the qmncm100 table. I have an extension on the DefectiveMaterialNoticeInBOD to pull the CDF information and write it to the table but I keep getting an error message that the Response Status field must be Not Applicable.

The error keeps coming even if I try to write back to that field qmncm100.rsst with the Not Applicable enum value. Does anyone have any experience with this? How do I get this to work?

Unfortunately the results from that only provide the same information I get directly from the BOD xml.

Yes, I know how to use the ION OneView to get a copy of the BOD. That's where I'm getting the message stating the Response Status field must be Not Applicable. That particular field is in the qmncm100 table with the Not Applicable value and even if I try to pass it that same value the process BOD gets rejected with "Response Status field must be Not Applicable" as the error reason. It doesn't give any information on how to fix/overcome that error/rejection reason.
