Setting order for SPM companies and contacts
jeff-roseman
Hi
Just wondered if anyone had any ideas on this one. Client has large number of prospects (> 4000) and approx 1600 s/l customers. There are large number of contacts so contact table is approx 20000 records.
They find it frustrating that you cannot specify that the scrolling order on companies and contacts cannot be fixed to stay on company name. If you select the grid header then it will sort but retain form settings won't keep. Worse is that if you search for a contact and want to scroll around a few similar names then it reverts back to company reference order.
1. Anyone done anything like a re-sequence for the company references
2. Anyone successfully reset the sort order to stay on company name
Thanks
Ian

SPM / CRM is a bit poor in this area and you will need buy extra components for the toolkit to do any bespoke. I have already requested "Pegasus Standard Grid" functionality in SPM and it would be also great is you could copy data out of the grids from the advanced searches. SPM is lacking in this area! Corrin have written an advanced CRM module, may be worth looking at this.
