Automating the top two options in Costing
ztrue
We are on VM 7 and SQL 2008R2. Our CFO would like for me to find a way to automate the top two options of the costing utilities. I have some experience with AutoIT and AutoMate, but I am also familiar with their limitations. I have also heard of a company called Virant with a product call V-Launcher (which I am told surpasses these limitations).
I have heard that there are issues that can be compounded by running these without verifying there are no negative trace transactions (we run actual cost with Trace). Can anyone verify this? I cannot seem to find anything in the documentation or the KB.
Thanks.

we are on vm7 sp3 and sql 2008 r2 as well. We purchased V-Launcher a couple months ago and so far it has been working pretty good more reliable that AutoIT.
We run actual and trace and haven't noticed anything.
If you do go with Virant. Just an FYI, it will not run as a service. I put it on a VM and RDP did not work. Had to run VNC on the box to run virant with a logged in account.
