Hello,
I have a question/comment with regards to how Unit of Measures work in Visual MFG. I'm pretty new to this software so please correct me if my question is a simple option somewhere.
I'm wondering why visual displays Units of Measure not defined for a specific part (ie when it cannot be selected for that part) in places where unit of measure is selected.
Just so I'm being clear, here's the scenario I'm talking about:
1. You define a new unit of measure at the part level (PM window) and give a conversion for only that part (call it part A)
2. You then select a different part (call it part

at the order entry screen. When you go to select a unit of measure you can see all unit of measures, including those that have no global conversions defined (ie you can select the unit of measure that has only been defined for part A)
I understand UoMs are probably defined in some global table. Still I would think it would be fairly simple to just filter out units of measure that are not defined for a part (ie have no global or part specific conversion defined).
Thanks
Justin
