Time records - multiple preliminary payrolls
Legacy Contributor
We are a new Lawson customer just getting started on installing and configuring Infor Lawson Version 10. In our current payroll system, we run multiple preliminary payrolls, downloading the time records from our timekeeping system each time. We allow the users to continue making changes to the time records up through our final payroll run, as we delete/reload the time record batch after each preliminary.
We cannot find a way to run multiple preliminary payrolls in the Lawson system, as there isn't a way to selectively delete a batch after it's been run through PR137 and is moved to the PR36 screen.
We've tried using add-ins and Process Automation to select records within a batch. One way we can handle the deletion in Process Automation: retrieve all records for a process level, but split the records into one file for the production batch and a second file for all other records. Then, delete all records for the process level, and reload the second file of non-production records in addition to loading a new production batch. However, this process is not very efficient and runs for quite a long time.
Has anyone else come up with a way to delete/reload time records and run them as 'preliminary' runs multiple times through PR530/PR137/PR140 (in report mode)?
Thanks in advance,
