Working with a client with over 100 Remote Office/Remote users scattered all over the country. Updating all the clients is obviously going to be a major exercise.
In order to reduce the system downtime, one idea is to roll out the clients and get them installed before the server upgrade. this would require using the 8.1 client with the 7.5.1 server for a few days.
Is this feasible or a really bad idea? Will the sync server simply discard sync files from clients mismatched in this way?
Any feedback much appreciated.
