Vendor Agreements PO25
cpashley
Our organization is starting the process of moving from 9.0.1 to 10.0.6. When we upgraded from 8.0.3 to 9.0.1 - there was a problem with uploading the vendor agreements created by PO25. Moving to V10 we would like to remove all of the old vendor agreements from the system with the exception of the agreements that are being used by one of our facilities. Has anyone attempted to purge vendor agreements or has anyone found a way to archive the old records?

In PO25 when we are ready to purge, we change the eff date to 1/1/1994. Then we have the PO300 purge on a recurring schedule with this date as the trigger. Seems to work fine but we've not had a big upgrade in my time here so I can't speak to that (we're going to v10 from 9.0.1 mid next year).

Barupp - can you explain why you choose the date 1/1/1994. Was this a start up date for your company? Are the purged records then stored in Lawdir? You don't lose the records, correct?

It was explained to me that 1/1/1994 was chosen just because it was an odd date that would stand out to anyone who might come across that to help them realize that it was set to purge. I'm sorry I'm not sure where they are stored, & also not sure about what you mean re losing the records. I was hoping that mentioning PO300 would at least point you in the proper direction. Hopefully the experts that frequent this forum will chime in
