RQC Comments
Stace Webley
We've been running into a problem lately with users putting comments on requisitions when ordering through RQC, but the buyers aren't aware of the comments and they go unoticed. The reason this has become an issue is because we just brought in a couple hundred new users through an affiliation and the prior MMIS system they used made comments very obvious to the buyer. In Lawson I can't seem to find where a buyer would be notified of a comment unless they drill around looking for them on each requisition. The kinds of comments that we are missing are the ones that should be read before the item is purchased. We are good with them printing on pick tickets, or delivery tickets. However, when a PO comment is on a req that goes straight to PO23.1 and then the PO is cut and issued via EDI the buyer would never know it existed...how is your organization managing comments that are for the purchase order when automation is a priority? Thanks.

Our buyers are trained to look at the the button that has Comments, if it says "Has Comments", they open it up and read the comment before releasing the PO.

I was wondering if that was the only option...because a PO may auto release when we run PO100 and go out EDI.
