After I download Baan V , when I install Baan V , why can I only find Oracle7.3 ? How can I select Oracle10g? Please help me,thank you very much!

Although i did the installation long back, so not 100% sure of the oracle version that it shows. Just check if the installation wizard has right porting set installer as part of it... that could be the the reason. Your baan installer might be referring to old porting set and that porting set might have just supported oracle 7 version.

Hi,

Assuming you have valid support with Infor, you can refer to this KB Article KB 22923519 ( points to porting set uptil 8.5a ) and KB 22923520 ( points to latest porting set 8.9a.03 )

Alternatively you can download the latest porting set from this ftp path
ftp.support.baan.com
within dir /updates/port choose the right porting set.

For exaample
/updates/port/8.9a.03 is the path for latest porting set that was released few weeks back.

Make sure to read the technical notes before installing porting set since it has all necessary details like hardware, env prerequisites. the technical notes will also give you details like what database version is supports. Oracle 10g is officially supported by Baan since porting set 7.xx,s o it's up to you if you want to stay with latest or just bare min. My personal pref. is go to 2nd last latest.
