Release and issue final a large number of 1 line POs
hang-gan
I created an upload using MS addins that would create a 1 line PO. Does anyone know of a way to mass release and print all the POs created by this upload?
It was labor intensive to open the PO, click release and then click Issue Final for two groups of 75 POs.

You can use PO22.1 to release all of the PO's and then PO120 to issue final on them.

As Stace said you can use PO120 to issue your POs. If your buyers are required to do this for every non-EDI/FAX PO you can set up a recurring PO120 job to do this overnight.

Thanks for the help. I really appreciate you helping me.
Since my 1 line POs are in consecutive order, I wrote another upload to do the release on PO22.1 and it works.
So I am almost there but I am unable to get PO120 to issue the Paper PO. Since I don't use PO120, I might be leaving something out.

What are your parameters? For issuing ALL paper POs we have
Main: Draft = N
Selection tab: all fields blank
PO Selection tab: all fields blank
Documents tab: Paper sub-tab: Issue = Y; Line Up = N; Form = 2
Documents tab: Fax sub-tab: Issue = N
Documents tab: EDI sub-tab: Issue = N
Documents tab: E-mail sub-tab: Issue = N

I have 11 POs in my test system that are in a released, not issued status. I used your guide above and created a PO120 job. I submitted the job and it ran, and ran and ran until I finally canceled the job.
Am I missing something I should do before I submit the job? I waited about 6 minutes. Would that have been long enough for 11 POs to be assembled and printed?
Your help is appreciated.

You may have had a lot of unissued POs in your system so the report was running longer. Try entering the PO numbers for your 11 POs in the PO Selection tab.
On a side note, it's not a good idea to cancel an update job in the middle of processing. You may end up with data corruption. Here, only our IT Database and Application admins have the ability to stop jobs in the middle of processing.

Thanks for everyone's help. I have been able to use addins to create the one line POs, use addins to release the POs on PO22.1 and I have now successfully use PO120 to print all the POs at the same time. The issue I had was PO120 requires me to enter my Printer each time I use PO120.
This is really been a big help. Again thanks.
