Lawson to Essbase
raymond-irizarry
We have been running IA120 to load Essbase 7 for the past 10 years. We are moving to Lawson v10 and we are being told that we can no longer run analytic architect to load Essbase. We are trying to keep this product alive for a few more months while we work on converting reports to another analytic solution. Does anyone have any advise on how to load Essbase without using the integrated Lawson solution?

Not sure if this link will work, but this discussion just started a few days ago:

Another client is running Lawson 10 with Essbase 9 - AIX server/api.
We are running Lawson 9 with Essbase 11 - HP-UX server/api.
We are testing Lawson 10 with Essbase 11 on AIX (moving from HP-UX to AIX) and running into issues. I would be happy to update you if we are able to get these working together.

Thanks Marybeth
Lawson is telling us we need to load 7 csv files for each datamart we have. This needs to occur each time we load. During close we run multiple times per day. Reading the Hyperion manual looks like we can do a SQL load which I prefer. Lawson is telling my programmer that the 7 csv per datamart is the only safe way to go. This seems time consuming and very confusing with multiple data marts and multiple runs per day. Hard to believe that is the preferred option now that analytic architect is gone? Can anyone share their experience loading Essbase with SQL?
