Item Master Job Title
unknown
We are wondering what job title people assign to the person(s)who maintains the Item master. We had the title of Database Analyst but applicants found it misleading because they don't do any actual "analysis".
Thanks

The job title for us is Administrative Analyst, but their team is called Data Quality and they maintain our master files (PO25, PO13, IC11, IC12, etc....)
unknown
We used the title of "Supply Chain Functional Specialist". We take care of all data maintenance and clean up within the system. Our Analysts do not.

We use Supply Chain System Administator.

I'm Sr Materials System Coordinator - I handle the uploads of the data. The Lawson Business Analyst works for IT. She sets up security, process flows, etc.
I've also heard us call Procurement Coordinators.

Our Item Master Master as we call her has an official title of Coordinator. She works along side our contracts group and manages IC11, IC12, and PO13 and also maintains the item master for Cerner Surginet.

We use Materials Management Departmental IS Consultant - but we go by DISC. Responsibility for maintaining all master files (except contracts) and pulling data from the system via Excel add-ins whenever a customer requests it.

We use Supply Chain Data Analyst. They are responsible for IC11. IC12, PO13, PO25, PO Match issue resolution, and soon to be Contract Management & Strategic Sourcing. I feel this position requires the Analyst designation as they should be analyzing these data tables for accuracy, consistency, and have the ability to review transactions to determine root cause of a match issue.
On a tangent to this thread, what level of education and/or experience do you require? We require 3 years experience and a BS/BA.

Our expeditor adds the items to the IC11, IC12, PO13.3 and PO25. We view this as a clerical position since she copies and pastes the items form a speadsheet. "X" items are reviewed weekly by the software specialist and a determination is made as to if the item need to be added to the system. Any uploads to the system and analytics are done by the software specialist using Add-Ins and Crystal Reports.
The Expedtior requires a high school education. The software specials requires a BS/BA or 5 years of experience.
