PO134
bone
Can someone in the community share information about PO134? We do not currently run PO134 but an outside vendor suggesting we start. I'm not sure what this program does and what impact it will have on our system.

PO134 prints delivery tickets for receiving. When a PO contains multiple deliver to locations the receiver won't be aware of where to put the goods unless they check each line in PO30.1 or print a delivery ticket. For PO134 to work the deliver to location will need to be specified on the PO. The best way to accomplish this is for the receiver to select "Release and Prt" in PO30.1 when processing a receipt. This increments inventory and prints a PO134 delivery ticket for items all at once.

Thanks Stace. Do you run PO134 on a regular basis? What effect does it have on your system. I ran PO134 in our test system on one of our small companies and it produced 46,000 pages of delivery tickets. My worry is that I run it in production and it affects some other area I am not aware of like GL.

That's a lot of tickets...did you run it for the whole company and not just a requesting location?
I don't blame you for worrying about downstream affects, but in this case I don't believe there are any. From my experience PO134 is more of a read only type of job in order to print the delivery tickets it has to look at the PO. I'm not positive, but I'd be surprised if there were any downstream affects.

PO134 only prints delivery and put-away tickets for receivers that were not printed at the time of receipt. It doesn't affect the GL but it does affect PO and RQ systems. It will write to the POLINESRC table and update the DELIVERED_QTY field. When a requisition's lines have been received and delivered in full it will close. I schedule PO134 to run nightly. It really isn't that bad if you don't run it but if you run it regularly it will tidy things up by finishing out the receipt process and close the requisitions.

Thanks Stace and Jon. Based on your info I will start running it nightly.
