Solidworks integration?

If I'm posting these in the wrong place, please let me know where I should post.....

We would like to integrate our Solidworks 2009 environment with Visual ERP. Engineering would like to keep the BOM and product information in the Solidworks PDM vault, and import them into Visual engineering masters.

Is anyone aware of a product that will assist in this? I'm a bit unclear about how these types of operations are handled in Visual.

We as Quartess are the Infor partner for VE and EAM in the Netherlands and Belgium.
We have a number of customers who integrated with Solidworks and other CAD/PDM systems. As a matter of fact, it is quite easy to realize this. If Solidworks can export the BOM in a predefined XML format, you can directly import this in the MFG window (import from drawing). The needed format is described in a document Infor can deliver to you. I needed i can sent it to you if you supply me your e-mail credentials.

We are also a Solidworks-capable company - can you send us this info as well? We are not using any of the extended features such as the vault, but we do a fair amount of design as far as BOM creation. This would help save some dev time...

DesignLink is the module that allows the "Import From Drawing" function that Hans described. You would need one seat of DesignLink to activate this function in the MFG Win. If you can't or don't want to export to XML for Solidworks or any CAD system, you can export to .XLS (Excel) and convert the data to XML. There are shareware apps to do the conversion, I wrote one specifically for this use.

We use PRO Engineer, this a possible intergration? If so has anyone set it up and how would you go about doing this.

kchristie, If you are looking to move Material Lists from a CAD system to Eng Masters. Then the Import From Drawing function with DesignLink would allow this.
