Consignment Items

Is anyone using the consignment functionality in Lawson. We are on 9.0.1 and are looking into this. Any input would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Vince

We currently track consignment in Lawson as stock. It is a challenge keeping the balance sheet at 0 to say the least! The biggest issue is that the product is not managed by materials staff that are supply chain professionals. We currently use resource nurses or clinical supply techs to manage the product and it has been a struggle to have them comply with No Charge initial orders, IC20 Direct Receipts, Physical Inventory, and returns to suppliers. It is not something to take on lightly in core Lawson.
From what I have seen of the Point of Use, consignment may be much easier to handle in that application. I plan on gathering more data at Inforum next month.

I'm curious as well how other hospitals are managing consignment, especially in regard to consignment and tracking the qty agreed to be consigned.
Does Contract Mgmt have any tools to manage consignment qtys better than PO25?
