I am looking for an integration software that works with Inventor (3D CAD)

I am looking for piece of software that will integrate our CAD system with Visual.

We were at a supplier facility and they showed us a integration between there CAD and ERP (Solidworks to Intuitie).

The software gave the CAD user a button that would bring up a window for creating or editing a part file in the ERP system. The system automaitically sync'd the two files (CAD properties and ERP attributes). The system also gave the user an ability to add operations to the ERP file keeping the link between syn'c.

It was bi-directional connected so that when there was a difference between the ERP and the CAD file it would highlight it and ask you what one you wanted to keep.

It would also keep the Engineering Manager (BOM) syn'c between the CAD and ERP.

It was a very slick system that would reduce a log of the data error we have currently.

Is there something from Infor or a third party that would do this?

Any help would be appreciated.

You are probably talking about QBuilds application – if the part is “good” or matches in both the ERP and the drawing software then it’s green – mismatches are yellow and if anything is flat out missing it’s read.

They are at QBuildsoftware.com, POC is Craig Girdwood – Great guy.

They also have a part-surfer – it’s not named appropriately, as you can view part maintenance, even the linked drawings, work orders, and masters, as well as a part’s purchase history – and for us, unlimited users for the cost of two VMFG licenses – no brainer!
