Get MSCM data via LBI / SQL?
Legacy Contributor
Hi - the reports in MSCM seem to be pretty limited - especially the Operator Activity which appears to be limited to one user at a time. Has anyone had any luck getting MSCM data via LBI or SQL? Just wondering. Thx. DT

Doug:
We do several reports and processes accessing MSCM with SQL.
Get a copy of the MSCM Data Model for your version. It is straight forward.

Doug/Richard:
Or you can set up SchemaSpy and create your own web-searchable data model.
Give me a shout if you'd like more information.

We write some of our own Crystal reports for MSCM and post them to the Reports menu for the users to use. The MSCM Data model documents are very hard to get from Lawson.. someone gave me older version that explains how they connect and what some of the codes are that they are using and their meaning.

For the MSCM data model, you can go here:
lawsonguru.com/.../DatabaseERDs.aspx
the last tab has a data model that I did of our MSCM database a while back... some fields may have been added, or what-not in more recent versions, but this should get you a very good start.
If you click on a table, and then scroll down in the resulting window, it should show you the relationships as well.
I'll do another one of our updated 10.1.7.3 version here next week. Perhaps I can convince John to publish that one in the same location.
