Opera P60 layout DOESN'T default to the lasersheet for 2010/11
porsche-pascoe
Hi all,
Just wanted to make sure everyone was aware the p60's default to the p60 singlesheet/shortened version this year. This is the layout the hmrc cd uses but opera has always used the lasersheet
Not sure why peg have changed it but, fortunately, looks like the hmrc uses the singlesheet/shortened version and peg laser portrait uses the lasersheet.
Main difference is employers name prints at the top on lasersheet and bottom on singlesheet.

Hi Kiran,
As you can appreciate, we do discuss these matters with HMRC. Our understanding had been that HMRC would not be producing the lasersheet design for 2010/11, and that's why we put in the SingleSheet design in its place. At the eleventh hour we discovered that HMRC were to continue to produce the lasersheet design after all, but unfortunately by that time it was too late for us to ‘undo’ the change.
We have, however, had assurances from HMRC that they will not be producing the Lasersheet design next year i.e. 2010/11 is the last year it is to be supported, so we would have had to introduce the SingleSheet design at some point anyway.

Jonathan,
Wasn't "complaining". Just thought if support staff said order lasersheet (as i have) as previously, we'd get a number of calls at EOY saying the p60 doesn't fit.
singlesheet was used by the hmrc cdrom and as the revenue have different codes to payinfo.pdf wasn't certain what to recommend.
Thanks for the explanation.
Kiran
