FACTS MSDS
salbritton
We have a FACTS 7.7 customer (with UnForm 8.0) that wants to start using the MSDS system within FACTS to send MSDS sheets when appropriate. We currently don't have any customers using this module, so we've been digging into the documentation and testing things on the 7.7 demo. We think the basic functionality will work, but where we're stumbling a bit is the actual printing of the MSDS sheets (via the MSDS Online Print).
I understand the general idea of the MSDS Print Command F/M, but there is very little documentation on this. Our customer has FACTS installed on Redhat Linux, with UnForm 8.0 installed on a separate Windows 2003 server (with the UnForm DAM piece). They have their MSDS sheets in PDF files on another server, and one MSDS sheet can apply to mutliple item#'s.
If there is someone out there who has had experience with this module that could provide guidance, examples of print commands, etc., I would appreciate it very much!

Brad,
This feature dates back to 6.3 ('94) when the Earth was still cooling and folks used the Unix version of Word Perfect. You'll note that the help text for Print Code F/M specifically mentions that application around which it was developed. I'm not sure that the macro scheme works today with largely Windows based word processors.
