Lawson to Surginet Interface
yvonne-grondin
We are implementing Surginet which will include an interface from Lawson. I am hoping to talk with others who have implemented this process.
We are currently set up to use Lawson par carts for replenishing the goods within the sterile processing area. With the recent consolidation of the sterile processing area which supports 2 separate OR locations we are challenged with the multiple cost center expenses and are looking to perpetual inventory management process.
It is my understanding most are setup as a perpetual inventory for Surgical Services. I am hoping to talk to others.
Please contact me for further discussion.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Happy New Year!
Yvonne

I would be interested in sharing. WE are looking at SIM, Surgical Instrument Management, but have been on perpetual Lawson Inventory with EPIC interface for 1.75 years. 360-417-7727. Kathi

We are currently running IC527 (HL7) interface from Lawson Item Master to Cerner Item Master, nightly. We only send over items that exist in our surgical areas. We set up our specific surgical area par locations into a specific Group (IC03) and that Group is used on the IC527 job. We run a perpetual inventory.

Kovacs, that is how we do it as well.

How are you managing returns not used on cases? Do you import the data into Lawson to increase the stock on hand or do you manually adjust balances?
