I wanted to see if any manufacturers out there utilize Visual for a service based repair business unit. We have 8130 form requirements from the FAA and we currently do alot of this outside of Visual in a custom database. Does anyone run their repair shops all in Visual?

We do. It's pretty easy. When a service order comes in create a stand-alone work order to charge labor and materials to and when complete, create a sales order and link the stand-alone work order to it prior to shipment/invoicing.

Ok, do you enter in a part number?
What do you do about the FAA required 8130 documentation? Does it come out of Visual or do you manually fill out the form?
