WHSHIPLINE or WHSHIPMENT Picker ID

Hey,

Does anyone know which field to pull and what status to consider to figure out what user picked an order? We can pull the OPR_CODE, but that just shows the ID of the last person who updated that particular file. Trying to figure out how to pull information that will show who picked what order.

I don't think you can for certain. If you think about it, any storeroom staff can pick an order. The best you can do is to assume that the one finishing the shipment is the one picking. I know some places one person may finish and release all the shipments for the day. For us it's even more difficult as we have a generic logon in the storeroom so all IC21 and WH32 transactions have the same user ID. We did this to avoid password sharing, ESS privacy issues and system locks from timing out. I know in general our material handlers pick their own orders and the storeroom clerk picks orders that come down from requesters. But truly any of them could pick any order and any of them could close the shipment regardless. Perhaps if MSCM is used for Pick for Par there may be a record but we don't use that function so I'm not familiar with it.

That's pretty much what we have found. We figured out that both of those tables store the "operator ID", however it's updated to the user who last updated the "file". It doesn't always pertain to who picked the order. We do use MSCM and we can find the information in the web portal, but it's not easily exported. I have contacted our IT department to see if they can grant us access to the SQL database for MSCM. Hoping we can get access to it. If so, I think we'll be able to pull the information we're looking for.
