PO30 Double Receiver

Hey,

Has anyone had issues with double receivers? We're trying to find the root cause as to why double receivers may be occurring without jumping to the conclusion of user error. Is it possible for a double receiver to occur without it being user error?

I have an issue with "delayed" EDI receipts causing double receiving. The buyer working PO20 can sometimes cause MA540 to attempt again - with the error gone, it creates the PO30.

We've also got flat out errors where there is an 856 sent after the manual packing slip.

So - it's user error - but not as simple as "someone clicked add receive all without looking" -- PO58 should be able to tell you the user ids. If two humans added a receipt - one of them didn't look.

What if only one of them has been matched and assign an invoice. The other receiver, has been released, but was never matched on qty and an invoice number assigned. This is consistent with all of these specific issues. That's what's causing me to lean towards user error, but still not totally confident that is the true cause.

Are both receipts added by people?

Yes, the scenario you described is happening with EDI here. 9/10 its human error - but that 1/10 is a killer.

But what are your tolerances? In our case the EDI duplicate receipt is on PO30 - but it's not released because to do so requires the PO52 to be released. This is when the dock catches the error.
