HR Daily Automation - PA100, PA100, BN100, BN102

We are trying to setup and automation through IP Designer to run PA100 for the next day, PA100 for two weeks in the future, BN100 and BN102. Because of the changing dates based on the current run day, we can't use multi-steps through Lawson. Does anyone have an automation that runs a process where you have to change the variables? We have automations that input data on forms and ones that run processes that don't change, but this one is a first. A screen shot of the automation would help tremendously or a copy of your .lpd

Hi There - I don't have an example to show you, but all you need to do it do an AGS call to update the date parameters for your PA100, BN100, BN102 - this works just like updating any other form. After you update the parameters, then you submit the job. I hope this is helpful!

Are you looking for the code to place in the node to update the date parameter on the form or code to calculate the date you want updated on the form?

Yes. I have the code for a Lawson transaction:

_PDL=<!appProdline>&_TKN=PA100&_EVT=CHG&_RTN=DATA&_LFN=ALL&_TDS=IGNORE&FC=A&CHECK-ALL-REQ=Y&COMPANY=1&CURRENT=N&EFFECT-DATE=<!Tomorrow>&RUN-OPTION=4&UPDATE-OPTION=Y&JOB-NAME=PA100D1&_DELIM=%09&_OUT=XML&_EOT=TRUE

But every time I try to run it I get "S3 Transaction PA100: AGS Error Field is required" among many other messages. I know that the transaction node is used for a form and not a process, but I don't know of another way to change the process run parameters before I run it.

How do I do an AGS call to update the parameters? I have searched on the support site and through my manual, but I can't find anything about how to do the AGS call.

Is the problem that a process is created in a User Name and when I try to edit the transaction, none of the parameters ask me the user name that the job name has been stored under.

I found my answer. I needed to create a Lawson transaction with event of change and fill in the username field that is used as a key field at the top. Once I did that, the change was in and then I could run it with webrun.
