financial report. i need to create a financial report payment by vendor.

the CEO calls this a spend analysis. this is to calculate by vendor by year and list by highest dollar.

has anyone done this type of report any assistance would be appreciated.

A SQL query on the PAYABLE table will do this in it simplest form, using the TOTAL_AMOUNT field, summing and sorting by vendor. However if you have VAT on your invoices then you will need to do this on the PAYABLE_LINE table (with a join to PAYABLE to get the vendor). The field PAYABLE_LINE.AMOUNT has the net amount excluding VAT. If you need to select a range of dates, use the POSTING_DATE field in the PAYABLE table.

SELECT PAYABLE.VENDOR_ID, VENDOR.NAME, SUM(PAYABLE.TOTAL_AMOUNT) AS SUMMTOTAL

FROM PAYABLE INNER JOIN

VENDOR ON PAYABLE.VENDOR_ID = VENDOR.ID

WHERE (PAYABLE.SITE_ID = '100') AND (PAYABLE.POSTING_DATE > '2016-01-01 00:00:00.000') AND (PAYABLE.POSTING_DATE < '2016-12-31 00:00:00.000')

GROUP BY PAYABLE.VENDOR_ID, VENDOR.NAME

ORDER BY SUMMTOTAL DESC
