Remote Office Attachments

When you cut a remote OFFICE database, it sends ALL attachments again to the Remote Office. There does not appear to be a way to prevent this from happening. This is a real pain in the neck for customers with large remote office databases that tend to go out of sync and need re-cutting occasionally.

Has anyone figured out a way to PREVENT the Remote Office from being sent all the attachments again when the database is re-cut?

There is an option in the Administrator that you can uncheck so attachments are not sent.

When you select your user. Go to Options... and uncheck the "Send Attachments" box.

Unfortunately that's not the case when you cut a Remote OFFICE database. I know that option exists for Remote USER databases.

Agree this has always been a PITA unfortunately there is no way, that I am aware of, only option, which does not really prevent it as such, is to cut the remote, run sync, then remove all of the zip-file tefs from the outfiles. This way then will not actually be sent. Not a great solution as the sync server will still generate all of the tefs, but at least it prevents a huge sync, until such time the same option to not send as per remote client is provided, we are stuck with the problem. Unless anyone else has a method?
