Upgrading from LBI 10.4 to Infor BI for Lawson 10.6

Hello,

We are currently on LBI 10.4. We are planning on upgrading to Infor BI for Lawson 10.6. We are interested in talking to another client site that has done this type of upgrade to discuss process and issues encountered. Is there anyone that has gone through this process that would be willing to talk with us? Thank you!

I'm not on the technical side, but we've upgraded from LBI 10.4 to Infor BI for Lawson 10.6.3 in our test system. We are going through a small system test as our technical team explained is a fairly minor upgrade. I've tested several Smart Notes, Crystal Reports, and the Dashboard myself. Our team is doing a full test with multiple users through the 11th. So far, so good!

Make sure that you test the 'Tools' dashboard. We've had it happen where the 'Share with All' button has gotten checked and it cannot be unchecked. There is a back-end database way to do this, though... I'll look for it and share if I can find it again.

Found it. *Note: We haven't heard of any real issues where everyone is seeing the Tools dashboard, just a change of view.

Try this update to your framework services table:

UPDATE LawsonFS.dbo.ENPBATREE

SET ENTRYPUBLIC = 0

WHERE ENTRYSTRING='Tools'
