Anyone seen this error? CheckLicense - Type: 1 Error:

CheckLicense - Type: 1 Error: Access violation at address 04F02E80 in module 'SLXLicenseMgr.dll'. Read of address 00000000

InforCRM kicked users out and wouldn't allow them to log back in. Restarted service: 'Saleslogix server" and all was resolved.

The error listed above was found in windows log.

Thoughts? Google hasn't found anything of use.

Hi,

Not seen this particular error, but suspect it is related to the the issue found with a memory leak in the SLXLicenseMgr.dll that would cause the SLXServer to crash. Fixed in 06 updates.

We are currently on 8.1 snc 3 We will be moving to 8.3 snc 7 in July. So this issue should be corrected in that version correct?

Hi Will,

That is correct, the issue has been around apparently for sometime and the fix has been released for 8.3 in the 06 updates, it will as I understand also be available for 8.1.0.10 and 8.2.0.5 but last I knew, there was no ETA for them.
