SData request limit

We use the SData portal to transfer documents from an external application into blob fields in Infor. We had a 50mb file fail with an http exceeded request limit error. Is there a request size limit within the API or is this an IIS issue? I have tried to increase the limits in the IIS web config as noted in MS article but get the same error. Any advise on this is most appreciated

Hi Leon,

The maxRequestLength which is held in the web.config file of the specific portals you want to increase the limit for (i.e. in your case the Sdata portal) needs to be increased.

See KB 1569006 for details on how to do this.

Thanks Craig - I've increased maxRequestLength and maxAllowedContentLength with same results. Also changed the maximum allowed content length in IIS manager but still failing.

Hi Leon,

That is the only location I am aware of if this has also been increased in IIS then I am unsure why this would not be working. If you make the same changes to the SlxClient portal are you able to successfully upload the file to the web client? failing that I would raise directly with Infor support.

Hi Craig - your solution was in fact correct. Staring me in the face 2 lines above the whole security section was commented out. Sometimes you just have to take a step back...
