Web Reporting Server

Hi All,

I remember we should have a license for web reporting server hosting as well.Do we really need to have a separate license for web reporting server deployment. Because i try to deploy the web reporting server components from the deployment explorer and i dont see the components getting deployed in the folder path i have given in the deployment path.

Any Ideas ?

Ram,

Are you trying to push to a different server (from where your Application Architect is)? If so, you may be being blocked by group policies - it is a rather common security implementation. To get around this you have 3 options
1) Send deployment to a local File system then copy and paste over. Make sure IIS is set up properly as you will not have SLX to configure it for you. 2) Install Application Architect on the Reporting Server and deploy Reporting components from Reporting server. 3) Ask you System Administrator to remove the blocking security component... (not likely)

If you are on the same server, view your security permissions and make sure the folder level security will allow you to write to it.

Hi Carla,

The issue is when i click on deploy in the web reporting server deployment from Application Architect to a folder in IIS(or Inetpub) the code for web reporting is not getting deployed.

Also, i don't see a separate installation link in Infor CRM installation setup to install web reporting server. We use to have separate link (as afar as i remember) in SLX 7.5 for installing it but i don't find any in Infor 8.3

Here are my questions...

1. Don't we have to install web reporting server separately for Infor 8.3?

2. As such we have licenses for sync server, don't we have any special license for Web Reporting server deployment?

3. In Crystal Reports 13 zip provided by infor in other downloads section i am only able to install crystal report dev version but i don't see crystal reports server components there. Is it a separate installation for server components?

There is no web crystal report server any longer. It is all part of the core client portal and the job server.

But when i try to deploy the web reporting portal from Application Architect it is note getting deployed to inetpub with no folder creation. Also when i try to add new deployment it is not showing the option for slxwebrpt.

Is it dependent on job server deployment (with respect to deployment wise) or does it require separate License.
