LAWSON EMPLOYEE GROUPS

Has anyone been successful in a SQL solution to finding someone's EMPLOYEE GROUP(s) using the PGSELECT table and NOT the PGEMPLOYEE table?

We have LTM with Lawson and I am trying to find a way to determine a certain kind of EMPLOYEE GROUP from the LTM data before the LT101/111 and HR155 is run.

This is so we can put the person's data into KRONOS timekeeping system as soon as they are hired and not wait on Lawson.

In advice would be helpful.

Why would you want to use the PGSELECT table? That just contains the instructions for Lawson to build the employee groups.

We use LTM for Hiring. We don't run the LT101/111 everyday during Payroll processing. We want the new Hires/Terms in/out of KRONOS daily.

We create the ACCRUALRULEs and PAYRULES in S3 as EMPLOYEE GROUPS.

I want to re-create the entire process of getting the data from S3/LTM and putting it into KRONOS as one process in KRONOS.

I figured out a way that fits my needs via SQL.

As long as there is a descrete number of Fields used to decribe the EMPLOYEE GROUP you are interested in and there are no EMPLOYEE GROUPS used, it can be done with nesting CASE statements.

In my case, our PAYRULE EMPLOYEE GROUP is Related to our ACCRUAL RULE EMPLOYEE GROUP with one or two fields based logic thrown in. Our ACCRUAL RULE EMPLOYEE GROUP only relies on Fields.

But if they fit the criteria you'd be recreating from PGSELECT, they would already be in that group in PGEMPLOYEE.

Prior to Running the LT101/LT111 they don't exist yet, or don't exist with the proper data in Lawson/S3.
