Odd "Glitches" in Visual 8.0.0

Hi all,

We recently migrated from Epicor Vista (circa 1997) to Visual 8.

We recently discovered a few issues which I would appreciate some help with:

1.)

• Click Eng/Mfg -> Manufacturing Window -> pull up a work order
• Right-click on inventory card
• Select Inventory Transaction Entry
• After work order information loads, click Issue/Rtn
• When clicking another field, the number in the Piece No. field disappears???

2.)

• Click Eng/Mfg -> Manufacturing Window -> pull up a work order
• Click File -> Print Work Order Traveller Report
• The Work Order Traveller window that opens reflects an incorrect work order number. This forces the user to manually enter the desired work order number prior to printing. If they don't, the system prints the incorrect work order.

3.) We have noticed significant lag between the time a menu item is clicked and the subsequent window opens. Even when running Visual directly on the server where it is installed, the lag is still noticeable (approx. 5 seconds). We are a small company with all client machines operating over hard wires rather than Wi-Fi. Additionally, we have antivirus software, but all Visual files and folders are excluded from antivirus scanning so I can't see why this would be happening.

 

I would appreciate any insight on how to repair these issues.

Visual 8 has a lot of little weird stuff. First thing is to make sure you are up to date on all your patches as Visual is always fixing stuff.

1) Visual has always done that, it thinks your receiving a work order.

2) Probably have a wrong setting set. Go to work order traveler, file, clear print option.

3) Visual 8 is slower in our SQL database also
