VSI-Fax cover page

We have a customer who is getting VSI-Fax cover pages, even when they select NONE for no cover page in Faxlink.

I have verified that the .tag file does not have the cvr= tag, but VSI-Fax still includes a cover page with each fax.

I have tried the fix suggested in KB 997701, but that did not work.

Has anyone dealt with this and come up with a fix?

Keven, sorry for the quick, unresearched response, but I've setup many vsifax accounts with Facts, not sure what KB997701 is referring to, but I've seen that issue many times and there was a Y/N setting in 2 ini files I think concerning Use User defaults, something like that, and changing that to 'N' (I think) always solved the problem..

I appreciate the reply. KB 997701 refers to what you suggested. In the vsifax.ini and vsisrv.ini files there is a setting: UseDefaults=on. KB997701 says to change them to off, but that did not solve my problem. I did find the solution though... There is a default cover page on the master user in VSI-Fax that kicks in when no cover page is specified. This default cover page can be removed with this command:

vfxadmin user -t cvr='' -- -master-

Glad it's working. I haven't had to do a new Vsifax install in a while, although I think I have one coming up as soon as the customer gets his fax modem hooked up! I never had to do that last step you mention. I thought the whole issue was because on a new install, by default the master profile in vsifax was set to use a cover page and UseDefaults was on. Turning it off should cause vsifax to not look at the defaults in the profile, and thus not send a cover page, that was the whole point to the solution! Maybe you had to do a restart of the vsifax server for the new settings to take effect? Like I said, just changing those 2 settings to N has always solved the issue for me. I haven't seen that profile screen in a while, but I thought there would of been just a checkbox to indicate whether to use a cover page or not and just unchecking that would of been sufficient, don't see why a cover page would of have to been deleted..

I did do: vfxsched restart after changing the parameters in the ini files. But, the cover page was still coming out. The vfxadmin user -t cvr='' -- -master- does not delete the cover page, it just removes the default cover page from the master account. Maybe a better way to set it is that it changes the master account to not have a default cover page...
