Sample Flows and what other use Flows for

We are a new cloud installation and begining to impletment some basic Process automation flows using IPA 10.1.1.37.

Does Infor (lawson) provide any sample flows ?

We are looking for basic import flows, and possibly flows that would auto assign security roles for new users.

Currently we have S3 cloud suite; but are in the poocess of implementing Global HR

Also, what other business processes are you using IPA for ?

Good morning,

1. KB 1667935 includes some sample flows I've put together for various reasons. I am always looking for further opportunities to add additional examples.

2. Infor delivers some sample flows with the designer, in your IPA Designersamples folder you will find other flows.

Additional Information
I notice you mentioned 10.1.1.37, and import flows in the same post. Import flows tend to imply bulk processing of records. Knowing what I know of the performance of IPA, I would highly recommend considering upgrading to Landmark/IPA 10.1.1.58 when it comes out.

There have been some significant performance improvements between your current version and the newest release that would help avoid some pitfalls.

Hi Russel,

I'm currently upgrading to version 10.1.1.57 but would you recommend me to hold fire for 10.1.1.58? If so, do you know when this is due to be released?

Good morning Alex, I believe we are very close to 10.1.1.58 being released. The dates are never firm because the code has to pass through QA before it gets released, but I think it is going to be very soon.

As far as waiting, if you use IPA there is an important fix in that version for the S3 Connection Pool that will allow us to configure the system so it automatically recovers from an LSF outtage. This is an important fix in my opinion as an LSF outtage currently causes processing flows to fail, then you have to take steps to get those flows restarted/etc.

Theoretically, with the new code I think we can make it so those flows basically pause while LSF is down the continue on without intervention when LSF is restored. There will be a KB on this when the patch is released and I get enough time to thoroughly test out my theory.

OK, Russell, I think you're just playing with our Admin emotions on this one. We all LOVE having to stop/start Landmark whenever we have to do work that requires LSF to be down!!!

This is a HUGE enhancement if/when it comes out. We've been looking for a great reason to upgrade and this is *definitely* one.

Thanks again for all you do to keep us IPA/Landmark educated and out of trouble (mostly!!)!!

10.1.1.58 was released today. I will apply it to my test system this afternoon; then I will run tests on it tomorrow and write up a KB on best practices for enabling it.

Hi Russel, Thanks for the information. I took the plunge and upgraded to .57 yesterday as wasn't sure about how long for .58 but as only done in Test we can do the latest version if needed. One question as we are getting errors on the Grid and I have logged with Infor via a case but wondered if anyone on here had experienced it before. We are getting two errors around the Grid and the main one is that the WebUI is starting but then failing due to the error "ModuleLoader: module Landmark-LMTST-WebUI/gen failed to start". We also have an error around the IPA nodes which is "LPA org.hornetq.core.client: HQ214045: Failed to create netty connection"

I am unable to run any of the validation URL's but believe that is due to the WebUI and the inbasket is not working in M3.

Any ideas?
