Missing and / or greyed out toobar and form Opera3 icons

Has anyone come across this one.

The toobar icons are visible but greyed out and the icons in the forms are replaced with an X.

Only happening to 3 of our customers and only on a couple of PCs

When does this occur? We've seen odd things happen to icons after a customer printed from the Opera printer tab on the publisher to a 3rd party PDF printer (I can't remember which one).

This is totally random. Sometimes 2 weeks without issue and then 3 in a day. Logging out of Opera and back in sorts it. Sometimes when opening a processing form, but not specific to the publisher

No, I don't. This started happening a few months ago. Nothing changed on PC apart from normal windows updates.

I had a similar issue with a customer and it turns out he wasn't a user on his own computer. Added his windows user and the problem seems to have resolved itself.

I had a tussle with this on one of our sites last week. In my case they have a bespoke which uses a third-party library FLL (the natively-loadable Visual FoxPro version of a DLL). If they had Opera open and went into their printers under Control Panel in Windows, and opened up the properties or did anything at all with the entry for their HP printer, and then went back to Opera, the problem would occur. The bespoke has been changed to loadunload the FLL as needed rather than when Opera starts, which has fixed it.

We've got a site now where this has been reported intermittently after accessing purchase processing. They have no bespoke in Opera at all. Any ideas would be gratefully received..

Hi all,

Has anyone got anywhere with this issue? We still have one site where this is happening on one out of three computers.

We ran ProcMon on the computer and luckily captured the issue. When it errors it is trying to find opera icon files in C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft OfficeOffice14 instead of C:Program Files (x86)PegasusO3 Client VFP.

Any ideas as to why the path would be incorrect?

Does your customer have bespoke?

While the issues on screen, if you try and log in via system > login (don't come out of Opera) you get file errors that point to windows folders, we've noticed.

I've asked Pegasus if the icons can be copied to the Office folder so it's being caught in both cases.

No bespoke in place.

Interesting comment regarding the login - I might test this next time it occurs.

We've been in touch with Pegasus regarding this so I'm hoping they'll turn something up.

I'm relieved it's not bespoke. Both our customers having the issue have bespoke; Pegasus maintained it was this that was causing the issue - not anymore!

Unfortunately we still haven't come across a fix for this but copying the files to the office location is a workaround.

I copied the contents of C:Program Files (x86)PegasusO3 Client VFP to the office location C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft OfficeOffice14.

Touch wood our customer hasn't experienced this issue since.
