Tracking of equipment from Clinical Engineering to End User

Does anyone have a good process within Lawson to track equipment that is ordered on a PO, has to go Clinical Engineering for qualification/calibration, etc. then is picked back up upon Clinical Engineering completion and ultimately delivered to end user by Supply Chain. We want to track with bar codes/delivery tickets, etc. without getting into a separate software solution.

We're looking at implementing an IPA - there's a canned one from Lawson for Inspection Required that will trigger every time a PO is received in with "Inspection Required" flag set to Y and another one that is triggered from actions on PO34.





In theory this means when the buyers are keying in the orders, they can change the flag to Y. When the dock releases the receipt, Clinical Engineering is notified and can see it in their inbaskets. They can approve and that will notify the docks to pick it up.



We have an outsourced BioMed department so we are trying to get it to work solely through the email and not have to give them rights to Lawson. But the canned IPA seemed to work well.
