Terminate Employee flow can't get position number

I can't get the position number and therefore the position description for an employee being terminated. This has been requested by our users as an additional element on the final email to department manager.

What is the method you're using to pull the position? Lawson query/SQL query? What is the query on the node? Are you attempting to pull this information before or after the actual Termination takes place?

Hi!

Terminate is an Employee action, but Position is on the Work Assignment, so that information won't be in the Action data.

However, you can add Landmark queries to pull the required data, write the data to variables (so they don't disappear when waiting for approvals), and then insert them into the final email.

I'd do the following immediately after the initial Landmark query:

Query the Employee business class to get PrimaryWorkAssignment (save to variable)

- HROrganization = Action.HROrganization

- Employee = Action.Employee

Query the Work Assigment business class to get Position (save to variable)

- HROrganization = Action.HROrganization

- Employee = Action.Employee

- WorkAssignment = EmployeeQuery(above).PrimaryWorkAssignment

Query the Position business class to get Description (save to variable)

- HROrganization = Action.HROrganization

- Position = WorkAssigmentQuery(above).Description

You can then just insert the variables into the final email.
