Row Count

Anyone here can help with row count in IPA query node? I am trying to branch to end if row count is less than one or zero. So far none of the variables available are helping. My IPA is not branching to end of row count is < 1.

Which query node are you using? SQL? LSF?

The LSF Query Node, if records=0 will automatically jump to the end of the query node by itself without a branch node, it only processes records in the query loop if record count > 1

I am trying to put a branch between the SQLQuery and my next action. First, I am getting a row count. If my row count is > 0, then I am executing another SQL query, putting data in a file and sending as an email. Finally, if the row count is, say, 0, then I just want the flow to end.

[Solved] Row Count works. The SQL query cannot use SELECT COUNT. It MUST use SELECT * or specified columns.

If you do use count(*) you can branch against the value of the Count. I always alias my count fields (and other fields that use a formula) like: select count(*) TOTAL .... then You can put in the branch SQLNODE_TOTAL < 1. Or another option is to put an assign node in the sql node that assigns a Boolean as true, and branch against that. But a downfall of this is it's unnecessary to keep assigning the same variable every record. I'm sure others have more was to solve the same issue as well.
