Email functionality from FACTS 9.1.1

Is anyone else having issues with the email functionality with FACTS 9.1.1 (see System Control F/M, email tab)? I have not been able to make emailing (via System Control F/M, email tab, test email and/or alerts) functional for many of our FACTS 9.1.1 customers. I've been told this is due to an issue with PxPlus that was supposedly fixed at PxPlus 2017, but since this version of PxPlus is not certified for FACTS 9.1.1, I'm reluctant to go with installing this version of PxPlus as a solution.

Has anyone else run into this, and do you have a work-around or fix you'd be willing to share?

I am not familiar with the problem you are encountering. However, I would recommend starting with copying *web/email and *web/smtp from PxPlus 2017 into the problem system to see if they fix the problem. As long as PvxPlus has not version locked those programs, they should be backwards compatible and would most likely contain the desired fix.

I had a problem with an upgrade on a customer where mailcall would work but *web/email would not.

Not sure if it is the same issue you are having, but we had an issue due to IPv6 not configured on the server.

Pvx suggested adding IPV4ONLY=1 to the [Config] section of your PxPlus.INI file

This allowed our email to go out through System Control.

Thanks Chris and Joe for the suggestions. The customer was using Outlook365, and while we had Document Delivery/MailCall functional, we could not get a test email from System Control F/M to work. As this was a Windows server, we ended up installing an SMTP server on it, and changed the pxplus.ini file to include IPV4ONLY=1 in the [Config] section. This seemed to be the right combination, as we were then able to get test emails.
