I was wondering if I could generate some contacts and discussion on how other companies setup and use the Scheduler and MRP functionality in VISUAL within a job shop environment.
Our company is project and job shop based. A portion of our business creates finished goods, but they are specific to a customer. In essence it is still job shop items it is just they have a standard way of making it. Another portion of our business is purely project and custom based design and fabrication (EPC/EPF type work). We have been on VISUAL for almost 10 years and have never really utilized the scheduling and MRP functionality to their fullest potential. We would like to do that now but are unsettled on how to best setup VISUAL to do that. We are re-implementing to a Single Database (v901), multi-site (7) environment using GF & VTA with sites in the US and foreign countries. We would love to make contact with similar companies that are doing some of the same. Even if you are not located in foreign countries, if you are a job shop and are using scheduler and MRP effectively I would really appreciate the opportunity to talk with you.
