Getting data from Active Directory

Has anyone experience with getting data (account status) from AD through an IPA flow ?

We want to do automated M3 user reviews where users will be de-activated when they didn't use M3 wthin the last 3 months ánd their AD account has already been disabled.

Wouldn't it be easier to just configure your system to use AD for authentication? Then you wouldn't need to deactivate accounts at all.

I think there is a setup for V11 related to the AD which you can connect the LDAP and query your AD even you can filter to get certain OU but I don't know if you have the ability to manage the AD or not

Hi Mark, M3 authenticates against AD, but still it's not right users being enabled in M3 although they left the company years ago. Also from an Infor audit perspective, these users are still consuming a license, if I 'm right.

It is always a good practice to disable users within Lawson LDAP even if AD is disabled. Depending on your licensing terms, Infor may count all active users towards license. It may also affect any kinds of reporting on Lawson security for yearly audit. There are multiple ways to handle this and each solution may work differently for a different organization. You can get a "csv" export of termed employees from HR and disable them in Lawson. Alternatively, you can get a daily AD disable export and use that to enable/disable users/actors in Lawson. You can also work with HR to figure out a working logic to look at employee status to disable/enable their Lawson account. Figuring out HR logic is always challenging because of multiple dates and status being updated which may change in future without your knowledge.

Thanks for your suggestions but I'm really looking to get the M3 users disabled automatically based on their status in AD. I was thinking of using a workflow for this but have no idea how to connect and retrieve data from AD
