IPA Workunit Reporting

Hi all,

Before I re-create the wheel, wondering if anyone out there might be doing workunit reporting for users, specifically, aging reports around workunits? We'd love to 'benefit' from work you've done, if you wouldn't mind. This would allow us to, for example, run a weekly IPA that would send to HR folks a list of all their workunits, sorted by age, or something like that. Nothing fancy, just would like to be a bit more proactive and help the functional areas - I'm SURE they'd love this!

We approached it in a slightly different manner. We run a daily report of outstanding Inbasket items by Role. Send emails to the people assigned those Roles. Put the responsibility of taking action on the users.

You can use PfiWorkUnit table and report on that. There is a status flag and a lot of other information that could be used for reporting.

Oversimplifying, we start with the usertask table to determine the user tasks. Next, for each user task, find each quetask, which is still open. Next, retrieve the workunitvariable information to retrieve the appropriate requisition data. Gather the information via message builder until no more open workunits. Email the people associated to that user taks (role) and loop to next user task. Continue until no more roles / open workunits.
