Flow to lock and unlock bookmarks

S3 Lawson Technology 10.0.9.0, Landmark 10.1.1.62, Windows and MS SQL servers

We manually lock several ESS portal bookmarks before we start the payroll processing. Then do the "Clear IOS Cache". I am thinking of automating this via IPD by updating the logan LOBMARK and call the ios cache as system command. Any cautionary advise when updating the LOBMARK table (key BOOK_MARK)? I just noticed the R_DATE and R_TIME needs to be updated too. Thanks

Do you use the HS18 to lock address, tax, and direct deposit changes? What other bookmarks are you trying to lock/unlock?

Just those 3 and currently, our App Support manually lock and unlocked them at the portal bookmark admins. Reason we are note using the HS18 is we then enable 3 same named address, tax, and direct deposit changes html in ESs with message that they are not available during payroll. Thanks

What we do is swap out the actual .htm files for the bookmarks we want to lock out with an .htm file that just states that the page is unable during payroll, then we swap back after payroll.

This does not require an IOS refresh. We have a Workunit that loops and the Payroll Admin simple clicks to "Enable Bookmarks" or "Disable Bookmarks" In the loop we also check PRSYSTEM to make sure the action taken is the correct one.
