Yes, we use Right Fax instead of Fax Integrator.

Pam,

We use another 3rd party application called Form Fast to create a pretty image of the PO and to email out to our vendors.

We use Right Fax to handle our faxes: High level, this is how we’re setup:

PO120 runs and creates output file

Form Fast picks up the Lawson output file and creates 2 files for Right Fax:

• Fax Image: Pretty PO

• Destination file: contains outbound Fax #, Location of fax image, error email address, and Buyer Name

• Backups the original

Both the fax image and destination file are placed in directories where Right Fax can process

Fax failures email notifications are sent from Right Fax so Buyers are aware. Right Fax also has a web interface that users can use to resubmit failed faxes.

As far as issues with Rightfax, I haven’t experience any.

For those that are using Right Fax or something other than Fax Int, was there something about Fax Integrator that didn't work well for your business processes that made you look elsewhere?

We needed a solution for the AP side of things and there were limitation of any changes of how the outbound PO looked are reasons why we utilize Right Fax along with Form Fast.

Although we're not "live" yet, our decision to move to Right Fax was based on a need to move to virtual servers, and eliminate our modems and analog phone lines. We already use Right Fax though out the enterprise, so it was a natural. We're looking at options to mitigate the PO status updating lost when moving to this solution.

does anyone use Fax Integrator in conjunction with Right Fax? We would like to still continue using Fax Integrator, but use Right Fax to do the faxing instead of Windows.

Sorry Pam, I know this doesn't help you, but I have the same question. Have you found a solution.

I see where one person uses FormFast to integrate with Rightfax. I suppose that is not a cheap solution. I'm curious what expense and effort it took to integrate?

What is needed to integrate with Rightfax? Can Rightfax simply pull from the "fax" and "email" folders? What addition coding is needed on either side to integrate Rightfax and Infor/Lawson?

I can standup Fax Integrator, but our company wants to use Rightfax. I'm trying to explain the benefits of Fax Integrator, but I don't know the issues with Rightfax other than replicating what Fax Integrator already does.
