How Can I rename the work unit title during designing an IPA ?

I have an IPA triggered based on event hub and I need to be able to rename the work unit title from the IPA designer, as I know there is list of global variables and the work title is one of them

Is there anybody knows How Can I rename the work unit title during designing an IPA ?

The work unit title is set by the triggering application, however it can be changed. A landmark transaction node can be made to PfiWorkunit to update the WorkTitle field on PfiWorkunit. That will change the work title itself.

My guess is you have approvers who are looking at the Inbasket, and they are now seeing a different title due to changes in the Triggering application code. If it is this work title that approvers are seeing you can override that work title on the User Action node. (Display tab > General Work title field)

I would say best practices would be to have the flow use a Landmark Transaction to update the worktitle right away in the flow, as user action nodes will then match that value when they process. However, if you want a different title at different points in the flow use the user action node's override.

Thanks Russel for your quick response I understand that this node is available to update the landmark pfiworkunit but I thought that I can do it using the global variables + simple assign node as the work title is defined as variable name Description

I believe you can update what appears in the Inbasket view of WorkUnits on the UserAction Display tab Work title. It won’t actually change the WorkUnit Title, just how it displays in the Inbasket.

You used to be able to change the variable name years ago but that hasn’t worked for a long time.

Yes you can if you have access to the database use the PfiWorkunit table.
