Hi, new Visual user here looking for information and tips regarding consignment inventory in my brand new 9.0 Visual environment. We have already selected FIFO costing by Part # (and not by part location) so simply creating a new location for my consignment parts is not an option. Is my only option duplicating my part #s and holding a consignment version of each part? I'm in a multi-site environment. We are planning to move all of a certain type of inventory to consignment, that is, once my current stock is depleted I will have only consignment of that particular part and will not need distinct FIFO layers between the two.
Any info or tips would be appreciated. If there is already discussion of this matter can someone point me to the thread?
