XRL on Windows 7 - 32 and 64 bit
darrenm
What advice would you have for getting XRL to work on Windows 7? I know it is not officially supported - a shame, since users are beginning to move to it.
What are the issues with installation? I am told XRL works OK on 32 bit. What about 64 bit, where I want to run it on a new PC I have.

I don't think it's so much XRL as the Installshield installer that is the problem on 64-bit. You can absolutely use XP Mode as Andy says, however that means having a version of Windows 7 that supports it, and a CPU that supports hardware virtualization, which is most recent AMD chips but only some Intels.
It remains unsupported on this platform at the moment, of course.
