Flows extracting a date field that equals "today"

Does anyone happen to have a flow that would query Lawson PA table looking for a date that = 'today' and then sends an email that they would share?

In the Start node, add a string variable Date_Today and the variable value is todayAGS() (which can also be selected on the Add function). Then use it on the SQL node, example below

select EMPLOYEE, ACTION_CODE, ACTION_TYPE, EFFECT_DATE

from PERSACTION

where EFFECT_DATE = '<!Date_Today>'

You will need to use FileAccess or MSg Builder to gather several rows.

If you are on Oracle, then you can skip the variables and simply use "sysdate" like this:

SELECT employee, action_code, action_type, effect_date

FROM persaction

WHERE effect_date = TRUNC(sysdate)

Truncing removes the time portion of the system date

You can also add or subtract dates using TRUNC(sysdate-7) or TRUNC(sysdate+14) etc.

select EMPLOYEE, ACTION_CODE, ACTION_TYPE, EFFECT_DATE

where EFFECT_DATE = convert(varchar,getdate(),112)
